Composite decking installer in Hemel Hempstead

Karl has designed a simple terrace to replace an existing decking platform in Millboard composite decking. It’s a limed oak colour in the Enhanced Grain range of decking with fascia and perimeter trim to match.

Decking balustrade

The balustrade has been manufactured onsite by the inhouse skilled team by using FSC Iroko hardwood. This custom balustrade has been painted with Owatrol Solid Colour Stain, showing a clean look and a balanced look with the decking. The cable system is manufactured by Stalok® marine and Architectural fittings company.

Decking design

The decking has been designed to reflect the existing terrace. The house was extended many years ago and due to the high elevation of the garden the option was for decking. With the old decking removed it gave the opportunity to enhance the design, change the step location and create something beautiful.

Jacuzzi on a deck

The client requested a temporary jacuzzi for this terrace and so the structural calculation had to account for the increased load. All of the decking calculations by are in accordance with BS5267-7.1.
